Coaching and Mentoring

Not everyone knows the difference between coaching, counseling, mentoring and advising. As a supervisor, your employee’s productivity and development depend upon you knowing the difference and educating or guiding them appropriately. This four-hour class will provide you the tools to develop your coaching and mentoring skills. Moreover, it will provide you knowledge of when to use each, and provide you the foundation to become a role model for others.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the difference between coaching, counseling, mentoring and advising
  • Identify the skills necessary and commit to developing the ability to coach and mentor others effectively
  • Navigate through situations where specific coaching is necessary versus situations where mentoring is appropriate
  • Effectively coach and mentor others and become a role model for peers to emulate

Attendees have the option of attending in-person or via web/video conference. If interested in attending via web/video conference, please contact us at 907-677-5532.
